Snorkel
Trips
Captain Rene picks the calmest, clearest reefs of the day. Vivid coral heads, schools of tropical fish, and on the right day a sea turtle gliding under the boat — all in 8–20 ft of visibility. Quality masks and fins included for everyone. The 4-hour trip visits two reef spots.

Where We Go
From Venetian Shores at MM 86 we visit two of Islamorada's classic reef spots on a single 4-hour trip — most often Alligator Reef Lighthouse, Hens and Chickens Reef, Cheeca Rocks, Crocker Reef, or Davis Reef. Captain Rene checks wind and visibility each morning and picks the two flattest, clearest reefs of the day.
You'll snorkel about 45 minutes at each location, in 8–15 ft of water — easy depth for first-timers, plenty to explore for experienced snorkelers. Common sightings: parrotfish, sergeant majors, snapper, French angelfish, and on the right day, a green sea turtle or nurse shark resting in the sand.

Snorkel Trip FAQs
What's the visibility like?
Typically 8–20 ft on a calm day. Fall and winter days after a cold front are often the clearest of the year.
What will we see?
Tropical reef fish (parrotfish, snapper, angelfish, sergeant majors) almost always; sea turtles, rays, and reef sharks are common bonuses. The captain knows the spots where each is most likely.
I've never snorkeled. Is this OK?
Yes. The reef is shallow, the water is calm, and the captain can give a quick gear lesson at the boat. Life jackets and pool noodles are available if you want extra flotation.
Is gear included?
Yes — masks, fins, and snorkels in all sizes. Bring your own if you have a prescription mask or prefer it.
Can we add a sandbar stop?
Yes — that's our most popular package. See the Snorkel + Sandbar Combo.
What if the water is rough?
The captain calls weather days. If we can't safely snorkel we'll switch to calmer water (often the sandbar), reschedule, or fully refund — your choice.
