Pour a drink and watch the sun melt into the Gulf. Calm-water cruise along Snake Creek and Florida Bay — perfect for couples, anniversaries, proposals, or anyone who wants to see the Keys in golden-hour light. BYOB welcome.

Where We Go

We launch from Venetian Shores at MM 86 and head west into Florida Bay via Snake Creek. The bay is calm year-round, sheltered from Atlantic chop — ideal for a relaxed cruise with a glass in your hand and a camera in the other. Captain Rene picks the best vantage based on where the sun will set that evening (it shifts north and south through the year).

Departures usually leave 90 minutes before sunset so you get the long approach, the colors, and the afterglow. On the right night you'll see roseate spoonbills feeding in the shallows on the way out, and dolphins are a regular bonus.

Sunset Trip FAQs

What time does the trip start?

About 90 minutes before sunset — the exact time shifts through the year. The captain will confirm the meet time when you book based on your date.

What's the best month for a sunset cruise?

All year is good. Winter sunsets (December–February) are the most dramatic with crisp skies. Summer sunsets stay light longest. Spring and fall give the warmest pinks and oranges.

Is this good for a proposal or anniversary?

Yes — easily our most-booked occasion charter. Just tell the captain when you book; he'll position the boat for the best light and stay out of the photos.

Can we BYOB?

Yes. Beer, wine, champagne — your call. We bring the cooler and ice; you bring whatever's in it.

What if it's cloudy?

Cloudy sunsets are often the most photogenic — the clouds light up. The captain will only call a weather day for actual storms; in that case we reschedule or refund.

Can we do a longer trip?

Yes — extend to 3 hours and add a stop at the sandbar before sunset. Ask the captain when you book.
